What Bliv. does
We give you the software to run a service business: a booking page, a website, invoices, customer records, email, reviews and a loyalty scheme. We are the tooling. The business is yours.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and the business you run on Bliv. must be lawful.
Money
Card payments run through Stripe on your own connected account. The money goes directly to you and never passes through us. That makes you the merchant of record: you are responsible for delivering what was paid for, for refunds, and for any chargeback a customer raises.
We take a percentage of each card payment, shown to you before you switch payments on and visible on every transaction. Stripe's own processing fees are separate and are set by them.
Prices, deposits and refund policies are yours to set. If you take a deposit and cannot deliver, returning it is your obligation, not ours.
Your customers
Their data is yours and you are responsible for it. Collect only what you need, tell them why, and answer them if they ask about it. We handle it on your instructions. See our privacy page for exactly how.
What you publish
You own what you put on Bliv., and you are responsible for it: your words, images, prices and claims. You give us permission to host and display it, which is what makes the website work.
Reviews are written by your customers about their own appointments. You choose which appear on your site, but you cannot edit what somebody wrote.
Your domain
Connect a domain you own and we will serve your site on it. It stays yours, registered with your provider and renewed by you. If it lapses your site returns to its mybliv.com address, which keeps working for good, which is also why links we have already sent to your customers do not break.
Keeping it running
We work hard to keep Bliv. available and we do not promise it never goes down. Some of it depends on others: a payment provider, a host, an email service, and when one of those has a bad day, so do we. We will tell you what is happening rather than stay quiet.
Ending it
You can close your account whenever you like, and export your customer list before you go. We can suspend an account that is being used for something unlawful, that is harming customers, or that has not paid what it owes, with notice, unless the harm is immediate.
Where we draw the line on liability
We are liable for what we get wrong, up to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months. We are not liable for lost profits, lost bookings, or losses caused by something outside our control. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, because it cannot.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect. Carrying on using Bliv. afterwards means you accept the change; if you would rather not, close your account.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
